About Us

Who are we?

We are a small fellowship in Cathcart – a group of ordinary people who come together to share faith and hope in Jesus.

With the help of God’s Spirit, we seek to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, caring and teaching within our Church family and through outreach into our community and beyond. Wherever possible this outreach is done in partnership with other local churches.

We are always delighted to welcome other folk – whether it be online or in-person, visiting or staying for a while. Drop us a message using this contact form if you would like to find out more about us or just want to have a wee chat!

We are part of the United Free Church of Scotland and you can find out more on the denomination website.

3 communities - a shared story - open to love, hope and joy

We have been part of the Cathcart churches community with Cathcart Trinity Church and Cathcart Baptist Church since 2007 – working together across worship, fellowship, young people’s activities and community activities.

We are always excited to explore and see how we can go forward together!

Looking ahead ...

On the retirement of Wilma Pearson in May 2022, we are working towards a ministry appointment. In the meantime we continue to worship and serve as a congregation in the community led by the Session and John Fulton, our Interim Moderator.

We believe God has plans for his Church locally as well as across Scotland and beyond and want to discover the part He has for us to play in our community and further afield – we hope you will join us on this journey as God leads us forward at this time! You can find our November 2022 update here.

We have had various gatherings to discuss the way forward. On Sunday 30th April 2023 we met to discuss our direction as a congregation and the audio recording is here below:

We also had an elder led service to discuss the way forward specifically around the three teams that have been set up – worship, discipleship and growth and community outreach. Here is the service on 25th June 2023 recorded on Youtube. We meet regularly after our Sunday Services under the three teams to pray and have discussions around the next steps.
